About Guatemalan Palm
Every palm hat begins in the hands of skilled artisans in Guatemala, where palm weaving has been a cherished tradition for centuries. Passed down through generations, this enduring craft creates lightweight, durable hats designed to withstand long days under the sun. Using locally harvested palm leaves, each hat is woven with remarkable care before making its way to my Colorado studio, where I have the privilege of refining, shaping, and adorning every piece. The result is a hat that honors the legacy of its origins while carrying its own unique story forward.

Sizing Tip
The Guatemalan hat has a foam-padded cotton twill sweatband that tends to shrink about 1% with heat and moisture. This is about 1/2 of a hat size (1/16" diameter). If you are buying a Guatemalan hat, we recommend buying a hat that is just a little bit loose to allow for this shrinkage. This usually means buying one size larger than you normally wear.
To Determine Your Hat Size
Measure around your head where you wear your hats in inches (circumference).
